Capturing the beauty of our wildlife on this mysterious planet we call Earth. Daniell explores the wide outdoors, shooting excellent imagery, and learning about the amazing animals that share the world with us.
Daniell approached us after hearing about our web services from a mutual friend of ours. He told us that he used a DIY builder to make his website which did the job starting off, but it quickly became outdated and he lacked the motivation to rebuild it.
Our team took a look at his website and found a range of flaws but also some positive aspects we noted. One of the biggest flaws was that his website wasn’t mobile responsive, meaning it wouldn’t display properly on smaller screens. Since he captured and displayed such high-quality and large images, the site wasn’t showcasing them to their full potential. We made a list of changes we suggested, including the ones Daniell wanted to implement and got started on the design.
We first looked at the overall colour scheme for the site design and felt a dark theme would work in sync with his imagery, making it stand out with all the vibrant colours most of them had. Second to that, we took his images and blew the size up drastically from what they were, making them the main focal point and keeping them reactive to different screen sizes.
Daniells overall goal here was to showcase animals around the world and educate his audience in the best way he could. It was an easy decision to use his photography as the strongest asset for this project, which we made sure every single page had and used them to their full potential. Each image, purposefully placed to ensure the viewer had a clear idea of what page they were on, and to give them a stunning and informative visual experience of the animal keeping in line with Daniells goals.
